Hailed as “New Mexico's secret weapon”, Simon Nadeau has been Djing professionally since 2000 under the names Ender and Nightmode. His early influences of industrial and east coast hardcore have led him to the cold soundscapes and hypnotic percussion that is the core of his sound today, whether mixing drum and bass or techno. Playing alongside the likes of Dara, Gein, Optical and Ecco and Sabotage, Simon's DJ sets deftly weave between futuristic subby rollers and tough breaks, expertly crafting a heavy but dancefloor-friendly vibe. Forward thinking mixes including The Ansible, Force of Habit and Disco Fist have garnered a cult following in the New Mexico underground.
Early entertainment work included technical direction at the Taos community theater and doing live sound for bands. Inspired by the San Francisco collectives Cloudfactory and Friends and Family, Simon and the Threshold crew began promoting events in Taos, booking diverse talents including Heather Heart, Omar Santana and Forest Green with New Mexico heroes Reverend Mitton, Kairo, Lank, Adrack and many more.
Bringing the same passion from behind the decks to the studio, Simon has developed a keen ear for engineering. 2009 brings his own music to the forefront, with the stormer “Yesterday's Patriot” being signed to Open Circuit recordings. |
